Kystostoomakatetrin vaihto perusterveydenhuollossa: sähköinen ohje hoitohenkilökunnalle

Abstract

Opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli kehittää sähköinen ohje kystostoomakatetrin vaihdosta perusterveydenhuollossa työskentelevälle hoitohenkilökunnalle. Opinnäytetyön tavoitteena oli kehittää selkeä, visuaalinen ja lukijaystävällinen ohje, joka lisää potilasturvallisuutta ja parantaa hoidon laatua. Tämä kehittämispainotteinen opinnäytetyö toteutettiin yhteistyössä Pohjois-Pohjanmaan hyvinvointialueen Oulun yliopistollisen sairaalan urologian poliklinikan kanssa. Kystostoomakatetrin vaihto vaatii hoitohenkilökunnalta tarkkaa koulutusta ja hoitohenkilökunnan tulee olla perehtyneitä kystostoomakaterin vaihtoon, jotta toimenpide voidaan suorittaa turvallisesti.

Kehittämispainotteisen opinnäytetyön prosessi eteni vaiheittain kehittämistarpeen tunnistamisesta kehittämistoiminnan suunnitteluun ja sen toteutukseen sekä arviointiin. Sähköisestä ohjeesta kerättiin palautetta sähköisen palautekyselyn perusteella. Palautekysely kohdistettiin urologian poliklinikan työntekijöille. Palautekyselystä saatu palaute auttoi tunnistamaan kehitettäviä alueita ja sen perusteella ohjetta kehitettiin toimivammaksi.

Kirjallisen osuuden tietoperusta koostuu kotimaisesta ja kansainvälisestä tutkimustiedosta, hoitosuosituksista ja aihetta kuvaavista artikkeleista sekä muusta luotettavaksi arvioidusta materiaalista. Opinnäytetyö tarjoaa työntekijälle käytännön työkaluja kystostoomakatetrin vaihtoon sekä varmistaa aseptisten toimintatapojen noudattamisen kystostoomakatetrin vaihdon aikana, niin kotihoidossa kuin sairaalaympäristössäkin.

The purpose of this thesis was to develop an electronic guide for healthcare staff working in primary healthcare regarding the replacement of cystostomy catheters. The aim of the thesis was to create a clear, visual, and user-friendly guide that enhances patient safety and improves the quality of care. This development-focused thesis was carried out in collaboration with the urology outpatient clinic at Oulu University Hospital in the North Ostrobothnia wellbeing area, Finland. Replacing a cystostomy catheter requires precise training for healthcare staff, and they must be familiar with the procedure in order to perform it safely.

The development-oriented thesis process progressed step by step, starting from identifying the need for development, followed by the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the development activities. Feedback on the electronic guide was collected through an online survey, which was directed at the employees of the urology outpatient clinic. The feedback from the survey helped to identify areas for improvement, and the guide was refined accordingly.

The theoretical background of the written part consists of both domestic and international research data, treatment recommendations, relevant articles, and other trusted materials. This thesis provides practical tools for staff regarding the replacement of cystostomy catheters and ensures adherence to aseptic procedures during the catheter replacement, both in home care and in hospital settings.
