Tiivistelmä
Tämän kvantitatiivisen tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli kartoittaa Satakunnan hyvinvointialueella 80-vuotiaiden ikäihmisten näkemyksiä siitä, millaisena he kokivat Kokemäen, Harjavallan ja Nakkilan aikuisneuvoloiden tarjoamat digipalvelut. Tutkimuksen avulla selvitettiin, kokivatko ikäihmiset digikäyttöosaamisensa riittäväksi, miten he digiapua saivat, oliko sitä tarjolla heille tarpeeksi ja tunsivatko he eriarvoisuuden tunnetta digipalveluiden saatavuudesta tai käyttöosaamisesta. Opinnäytetyön tavoitteena oli lisätä tietoa aikuisneuvolan työntekijöille ikäihmisten digipalveluiden kokemuksesta asiakasymmärryksen syventämiseksi ja ikäihmisten digipalveluiden parantamista varten.
Digipalveluiden käyttämättömyyteen liittyvät yleisimmät syyt olivat digitiedon ja digiavun puute. Aikuisneuvolan digipalveluiden riittävyyttä monikaan vastaaja ei osannut arvioida palveluiden käyttämättömyyden vuoksi, vaikka he saattoivat internettiä hyödyntää silti muuhun asiointiinsa.
Asiasanat: aikuisneuvola, digiosallisuus, digipalvelut, ikäihmiset The purpose of this quantitative study was to research the views of 80-year-olds on how they experienced the digital services offered by the adult health centers of Kokemäki, Harjavalta and Nakkila in the Satakunta wellbeing services county. With the help of the research it was found out how the elderly felt about their digital usage skills and in what way or how much they got digital help, or whether they felt a sense of inequality regarding the availability or usage skills of digital services. The aim of the thesis was to increase information for the employees of the adult health center about the experience concerning digital services for the elderly in order to deeper customer understanding and improve their digital services.
The most common reasons for not using digital services were a lack of digital information and digital assistance. Many respondents didn’t know how to assess the adequacy of the digital services of the adult health center due to the lack of use of the services, even though they could still use the Internet for other transactions. Elderly people felt a sense of inequality regarding the availability and use of digital services. The elderly wanted more digital information, better findability of digital services and digital support. The most common providers of digital assistance to the elderly were children, grandchildren and friends. Development work should be done in such a way that those who feel their digital skills are good or moderate would dare to use digital services more widely and that those who feel that their skills are poor would dare to learn the basics of the digital world. According to results many of the elderly who regularly used the Internet considered their user skills to be poor. The more digital services the elderly use, the more they wanted to learn how to use them and the more they wanted digital guidance. Digital competence was linked to how much the elderly wanted to learn more about working in the digital world.
