The survey was opened 209 times and 29 responses were received. The data were analyzed using webropol-analytics program to obtain a variety of reports, such as roles, sex and time perspective.
The results of the work showed the client concrete development measures to increase volunteering in the company. From the results it was possible to analyze the gender distribution of the various tasks, as well as commitment to the club. The option was also not to select the gender when selecting the option -other. The client received clear suggestions for development measures to increase volunteering, and the results also revealed to the client things that were perceived as disruptive to joining the club as a volunteer.
The objectives were met to the extent that the results revealed the source of motivation of the majority of the respondents, which focused on e.g. to pursue your own child. The willingness to volunteer for the affairs of the whole club was less, but even some degree of desire was found, according to the survey. Surprisingly, the survey highlighted the importance of community spirit as a willingness to volunteer, as well as the organization of events for helpers. Especially for men, the importance of communality was greater motivation to do voluntary work.
The results of the survey have also aroused interest in other floorball clubs. Other clubs are also considering the reasons for the loss of volunteering and what things are actually affecting club engagement to get helpers to do the work and more volunteers to help.
