The objective of this thesis is to cover qualities and other characteristics that make managers good and efficient at the work place, to guide managers through theories and a case study in order to achieve the right level of leadership and to avoid the unprofes-sionalism.
In the theoretical part, the focus lies on management and leadership definition, the role of the managers, observation of different styles of leadership, how to motivate your em-ployees and give them proper constructive feedback and further important steps for correct supervision.
Many companies don’t input enough effort for managers’ development in order to coach them at the beginning of their career. Because of that, a lot of mistakes occur in leader-ship, misunderstandings in teams; managers may hire unsuitable employees for their team, pressures overall of not enough knowledge of what managers do.
More research work in these topics is necessary, the management and leadership will be in the future still one of the most important areas in business and work life overall.
