Tiivistelmä
The aim of the thesis was to find out what was the current state of work-wellbeing, what were the factors of non-wellbeing experience, and how creative methods affected work-wellbeing. The research problem was to find out how creative methods could promote work-wellbeing and how to use creative methods. The theoretic framework consists of work-wellbeing, work non-wellbeing and its costs, creativity, and workflow.
The research method was qualitative. Semi-structured interview was the used method of the data collection. The qualitative method used was the interview of employees who use the creative methods at work, and the other interview was conducted to work-wellbeing professionals whose specialization is in the use of creative methods. The interviews were conducted remotely via Microsoft Teams.
The study showed that creative methods had a positive effect on work-wellbeing even when an employee was benefiting from the use of creative methods indirectly. It also showed that there were issues with the use of creative methods. The study also pointed out what issues were preventing creative methods from being taken into use. The study pointed out what were the main reasons for work-wellbeing and what were the main triggers for non-wellbeing experiences. The study also pointed out the importance of good leadership, communication, and co-operation with others.
