The purpose of this research was to describe the role of nurses by helping people to prevent type 2 diabetes. The type 2 diabetes has become an increased health problem nowadays.
The researchers used literature review to analyze and summarize the information and data. This research explored some of the risks and causes of type 2 diabetes. The causes and risks of type 2 diabetes include obesity, waist measurement, physical activity, diet and increased age. Some risks can be prevented. The nurses' role was to support the people of type 2 diabetes to have a healthy lifestyle. It included preventing obesity, guiding and supporting to regularly physical activity, healthy diet and to avoiding substance abuse.
Results of this research can be utilized as a guideline for nurses when provide type 2 diabetes' prevention information.
