Perehdytysmateriaalin luominen partiopiirin toimintaryhmälle

Abstract

Tämän opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli luoda perehdytysmateriaali Pohjanmaan Partiolaiset ry:n yhden piirihallituksen toiminnanalan perehdyttämisen tueksi. Tavoitteena oli luoda organisaation toiveiden mukainen materiaali, joka palvelisi parhaiten heidän tarkoitustaan. Toiminnanalan sisällä huomattiin, että perehdytyksen tekeminen harvoin on haastavaa ilman valmista pohjaa, joka pitäisi perehdyttämisen tasalaatuisena vuosien varrella ja perehdytyksen tullessa ajankohtaiseksi, sen tekeminen on helpompaa ja tehokkaampaa. Perehdyttäminen on myös tärkeä osa uuden henkilön saapumista uuteen tehtäväänsä ja on myös työnantajan vastuulla tehdä se hyvin ja laadukkaasti.

Opinnäytetyön menetelmäksi valikoitui toiminnallinen tutkimusmenetelmä. Tämän menetelmän valitsemiseen vaikutti paljon opinnäytetyön ohella tuotettava perehdytysmateriaali. Menetelmän tukena on myös käytetty havainnointia ja muiden samanlaisten dokumenttien läpikäyntiä. Tietoperusta rakentuu kahdesta osasta: partiosta ja partiossa kehittyvän johtamisosaamisen esittelyyn sekä perehdyttämiseen, miten perehdyttäminen tulisi tehdä ja millaisia menetelmiä perehdyttämisen tekemiseen on olemassa. Aineistoa tietoperustaan on saatu Suomen Partiolaisten ja Pohjanmaan Partiolaisten nettisivuilta, tietokirjallisuudesta kuin koulun opetusmateriaaleista.

Lopputuloksena syntyi toimeksiantajan ja oman vision mukainen 14 sivuinen perehdytysmateriaali, joka täytti molempien osapuolten toiveet. Materiaaliin oli sisällytetty toimeksiantajan haluamat aiheet ja mitä perehdytystilanteessa oli tullut ilmi, että materiaalissa olisi hyvä olla. Lopullisen tuotoksen todettiin olevan hyvin tarpeellinen ja hyödyllinen työkalu organisaation perehdytysprosessille tulevaisuudessa. Piirihallituksen muilta jäseniltä on myös ilmennyt kiinnostusta käyttää perehdytysmateriaalia omien materiaalien luomiseen. Toimeksiantajalta on myös herännyt kiinnostus käyttää perehdytysmateriaalia valtakunnallisen partiotoiminnan perehdytysmateriaalin pohjana. Perehdytysmateriaali on löydettävissä piirin omista materiaaleista ja mahdollista muokata muiden toiminnanalojen käyttöön tulevaisuudessa.

The aim of this thesis were to create an orientation material to one of the operational groups in the Scout District. The need for the orientation material arose during the onboarding process of a new employee. The previous person was in the position for a few years and conducting the orientation after a while was difficult and not that effective when you were not sure what you should include in the orientation. Doing the orientation is always the organization's responsibility and doing it well will benefit both the organization and employee.

The objective of the thesis was to create a material that benefits the Scout District and its operational group for whom it is made. Ideally it can be used for districts and other group orientations too in the future. The material will include the main information that the chairperson of the group will need to know about their job and how the person can excel in the new position.

Background knowledge is gathered from Finland’s Scouts and the Scout District´s own websites and nonfiction books. The main themes in the background knowledge are scouting in Finland and how leadership skills are learned in the organization, orientation and how to do it well. The research method used in this thesis is a functional research method due to its characteristic of creating a separate product from the thesis in the process.

Main result was the orientation material, which was made in the process of the thesis. In the end it was fulfilling the assignors needs and got some positive feedback from the others in the district’s board and operation group. In conclusion, the material was well needed and will be put in use in the future. The developments that can be done for it, is to use it as a base to create similar kinds of materials to the other operational groups in the district’s board or expand it in a way it would include other operational groups also in one material.
