Over the last years, sustainable tourism has gained significant attention. There are substantial effects of tourism on both the environment and society. The use of sustainable accommodation for ethical travel can lessen those effects. Nowadays, consumers are self-aware and educated about sustainable issues. Prior guests make reservations, accommodations should provide with transparency and demonstrate sustainable operations. The study’s objective is to determine and showcase the best accommodations’ marketing communication that are implemented from a sustainability perspective using Sokos Hotels as a case company.
The case study method of qualitative research was used because the thesis focuses on a single instance with the aim of providing in-depth and comprehensive information about the selected case company.
The initiatives of marketing communication from a sustainability perspective were presented through the use of case company experience. The efficiency of Sokos Hotels' communication strategy, which incorporates sustainable initiatives and platforms, has been demonstrated through its effective transmission of information to their audience and the broader public.
