The aim of this thesis was to evaluate and compare the Enterprise Resource Planning vendors in terms of system capabilities, features and solutions for diverse business requirements and organizational needs.
The theoretical framework examines the key factors or modules for organizational functions such as finance, supply chain, human resource, manufacturing, and customer relationship management. Business processes need these systems to run their operations efficiently and more concentrated to specific problem solving within short periods of time as well as strategically. There are three major giants providing ERP systems namely SAP, Oracle and Microsoft with different approaches to target market.
In this regard, this research aimed to do a comparative analysis of the SAP, Oracle, and Microsoft ERP systems. The research will adopt a secondary qualitative research approach. This involves the analysis of existing literature, reports, case studies, and other secondary sources to draw meaningful insights into the comparative analysis of the SAP, Oracle, and Microsoft ERP systems.
The right choice of ERP vendor is as important as the ERP itself. This study enables the key decision makers within an organization to choose the best suitable system according to their specific business needs and make informed decisions according to the nature of industry and processes involved. The evaluation gave an insight for organizations seeking for suitable solutions in contrast to ERP systems. This will lead towards efficient resource utilization and ultimately the achievement of organizational goals and hence success.
