Website development is a gradual process. It can be divided into several phases and each phases has its own significance. Separating work into such division is widely practiced project culture in Information Technology. This is the best way to give faster and better results.
Several web technologies are available today for web solutions. Each technology has its own specialties and limitations. Any web developer has to choose the tools according to the project requirements. Choosing the right combination of technologies to solve a web problem effectively requires skills and experiences.
The goal of this paper was to describe the basic technologies used in web technology and adopt some of those techniques to develop a complete website. The website was developed as a web project divided into several phases. The features and the work completed in each phase were described to give the general and practical idea of a web development process. A general dynamic website using more PHP and MySQL and less JavaScript was developed for simpler understanding. More complex website can be created by using knowledge from this thesis work.
