Human resource is a group of people that make up a work force in a company. Sometimes human capital, manpower, talent or labor can be used instead of human resource. While human resource management is the function in a firm that steers on job hiring, management and giving guidance for the people who work in the firm. It also refers to all activities associated with the management of work and people in firms and in other formal organizations.
The purpose of this thesis is to find out more about human resource in today' world. Is human resource management working to its full effects, and what are the challenges they are facing and how are they handling the changes in the human resource department, and also what can be done to improve the future of human resource.
In the studying part, the first two chapters we get to know more about the definition of human resource and human resource management and the function of human resource management, the challenges and the changes in the human resource management. In the third chapter we get to learn about human resource management in Kenya, where the case study was held. We get to know the finding and the fourth chapter we compile everything from the theory part and the case study part to get a clear picture of human resource management today and it' future and where it is heading.
