Positive psychology has gained significant attention in recent years since it focuses on advancing employees' well-being and optimizing functioning.
The thesis explores the relationship between positive psychology and leadership. Positive psychology has a yet-to-discovered potential to develop more self-aware, resilient, and emotionally intelligent leaders. This way, employees and teamwork experience a more creative and supportive environment.
The thesis highlights the importance of positive organizational culture. Positive leadership can create meaningful and engaged culture by providing a clear vision, open communication, and rewarding employee contributions. Furthermore, the research suggest that positive psychology can contribute to developing effective and ethical leaders who can positively impact their organizations and employees.
The research is qualitative research and performed as a systematic literature review. Nevertheless, this study gives insight into the best practices and guidance on how leaders could emphasize positive psychology to create a better work environment for creative teams.
