Tiivistelmä
The study was assigned by DB Schenker and the aim was to find out how online courses could be improved
in the future, based on what production employees though about the current way online courses were organized. The opinions and suggestions for improvement were compared with the literature on online pedagogy to find out how opinions and theory meet and what was the actual best way to learn.
The theoretical part was based on online pedagogy and learning in an online environment. How it is best
done, what different tools can be used to promote learning, how to organize online courses and how to ensure learning.
The employees' opinion on the work was collected through an online survey, which was constructed in co-operation with DB Schenker. The results obtained were analyzed and compared with the theoretical part.
The result was a set of development ideas that can be used as a basis for designing online courses in the
future.
In addition, the survey revealed the attitude and motivation of DB Schenker' production employees at DB
Schenker towards online learning and emerging technologies in the field of logistics.
