Tiivistelmä
This is a thesis of type: diary, written from the point of view of the author, who works as a Technology Consultant in a big company in the field of Information Technology. The observation period of the diary is 8 weeks, between 6th February 2023 – 31st March 2023.
The thesis includes four chapters: Chapter 1 – Introduction, that sets the background information for the thesis and the author’s three objectives for the observation period, Chapter 2 – Presentation of the work environment, work tasks, stakeholders, and interaction situations for the author at the beginning of the observation period, Chapter 3 – Diary entries – daily reports and weekly analysis over the 8-week observation period, Chapter 4 – Final reflection and discussion on the progress accomplished on the three objectives.
The main topics discussed in the thesis are related to the problems of Intelligent Automation and Robotic Process Automation, as technology domains, also the Technology Consultant job role in theory and in practice, communication, stakeholder management, other needed hard and soft skills in technology consulting, personal strengths and weaknesses analysis, growth mindset, reflection in working life.
