Tiivistelmä
We are surrounded by the media constantly and our media consumption has been at its all-time high during the last years. Pandemic times increased media consumption worldwide and we have more information available than ever before. At the same time, especially online, the amount of misinformation and fake news has increased and our media literacy skills to fight all these news have become more vital. Whereas in the rest of the world trust in media has been suffering and the objectivity of the media has been questioned, in Finland the trust towards journalists and media has increased during these difficult times. This qualitative research aims to look at Finnish media usage, to find out what are the media sources the people trust and how are the people able to fight fake news.
