Tiivistelmä
This desktop research thesis project was completed by the author during the studies in international business majoring in human resources management. The research and studies were supported by using the theories and sources from literatures and books related to human resources, recruitment and hiring processes.
The report is structured to follow the thesis report template requirements and covers the background, theories and definition of a recruitment process, the regulations in Europe that support candidates’ data use and privacy, the benefits and
challenges while recruiting internally and/or externally and some examples of the most common ideal recruitment process.
The investigative questions supported the author to create quantitative and qualitative research that helped to understand the current candidate satisfaction during a recruitment process, the respondents contract types, and that the employer brand is mostly important during a recruitment process which is impacting candidates to apply for a company and role.
The author collected anonymously data to analyse by using qualitative and quantitative research methods about the current recruitment process some companies are using locally and globally. Reviewed the importance of the employer brand and the candidate experience and satisfaction during their recruitment process internally and externally.
Lastly the author has gathered the main key findings about a recruitment process and that communication is remaining one of the biggest impacts and development areas for better inclusive recruitment practices between the employers and employees.
