Tiivistelmä
Hengitystieinfektiot ovat yleisiä infektiosairauksia pienillä lapsilla ja niitä aiheuttavat yleensä virukset. Hengitysvaikeus, yskä, nuha, kuume ja limaisuus ovat yleisiä infektion aiheuttamia oireita. Hengitystieinfektioisen imeväisikäisen hoitotyö määräytyy vauvan oireiden ja diagnosoidun hengitystieinfektion mukaan.
Opinnäytetyön yhteistyökumppanina ja toimeksiantajana toimi LAB-ammattikorkeakoulu. Opinnäytetyö toteutettiin toiminnallisena opinnäytetyönä, jonka tarkoituksena oli tuottaa opetusvideo LAB-ammattikorkeakoulun sairaanhoitajakoulutukseen hengitystieinfektiota sairastavan imeväisikäisen hoitotyön perusteista. Opinnäytetyön tavoitteena on edistää ja lisätä sairaanhoitajaopiskelijoiden tietoja ja taitoja hengitystieinfektioisen imeväisikäisen hoitotyön perusteista. Opinnäytetyön aineistolähteinä käytettiin näyttöön perustuvia tutkittua tietoa.
Opinnäytetyön tuotoksena on saatu 7 minuuttia ja 54 sekuntia kestävä opetusvideo. Opetusvideo tehtiin opetusmateriaaliksi lasten ja nuorten hoitotyön opintojaksoon. Respiratory tract infections are common diseases in infants and are usually caused by viruses. The most typical symptoms of infection in infants are difficulty breathing, cough, runny nose, temperature, and mucus. The treatment of the infection is determined by the baby´s symptoms and the diagnosed respiratory tract infection.
LAB University of Applied Sciences was the collaboration and client of the thesis. Thesis was practice-based, and the purpose of the thesis was to produce an educational video on the basics of caring for an infant with a respiratory infection for the nursing students in the LAB University of Applied Sciences. The aim of the thesis is to promote and increase the knowledge and skills of nursing students about the basics of infant nursing with respiratory infections. Evidence-based scientific fact was used as the material sources of the thesis.
The result of the thesis is 7 minutes and 54 seconds long educational video. The educational video was made as learning material for the course of care work for children and adolescents.
