Tiivistelmä
This diary type of thesis will illustrate a full-stack intern's daily responsibility, skillsets improvement, and experience development progress in eight weeks. A diary-based method could benefit the author in constantly following up on her augmentation and reflection when working to obtain an objective vision of the job and her future career.
Understanding the challenges as well as opportunities when first time becoming a developer, the author records and reflects to try to evaluate her learning progress, professional enhancement, self-discipline, and identify personal capabilities and imperfections. Clarifying concepts, issues, and theories is also considered to be mentioned. Based on the daily tasks assigned by the supervisor at work, the diary will report daily observations and weekly assessments. The thesis consists of four themed chapters, which are Introduction, Framework, Diary entries, Discussion and Conclusion. The technologies will be diverse from JavaScript, React, MUI, NodeJS, Express, AWS, and DynamoDB.
At the beginning of the job, the author established three short-term goals including fast adapting and get familiar with a new international working environment, obtaining professional knowledge and experience in code practices, and providing my best endeavours with all resources to contribute to the company’s products. After this thesis project, all of the objectives were achieved.
This diary type of thesis is especially beneficial for under-graduated students in the technology field. It is also supportive for people who want to start their career path as a software developer/ engineer but still have an obscured picture about how to perform at work, what skills demanded, and how to commit themselves to tasks assigned responsibly.
