Tiivistelmä
Most developing countries are becoming more aware of the subject of climate change and the catastrophic
consequences that it brings. Climate change problems are expected to worsen over time unless practices
and policies are implemented to mitigate some of the negative effects that climate change will have on
people's lives and the environment. Understanding how to properly dispose of unwanted textiles and garments would be another step for individuals and businesses to better engage in mitigating the negative effects of climate change. The research method used in this study was qualitative. The research's primary
data was gathered by observing and interview-ing participants during the process and phases of textile recycling. The study was carried out at a warehouse that sorts and selects eligible articles of clothing and apparel that would have been donated. The study's major goal was to determine how much of the unwanted,
abandoned textiles and garments would be restored and ready for reuse. The study also looked at the used
textile industry's economic contributions and possibilities. The goal of future research would be to better
understand the negative and positive economic aspects of exporting worn textiles and garments to developing countries.
