Social media and its platforms impact in today's marketing environment has grown significantly. In this research paper its investigated how Iltalehti can maximize their per- formance on Instagram and benefit from Instagram as a marketing tool.
Iltalehti provides daily news for their audience since 1980. Iltalehti is available in print, online, and through a streaming service called IL-TV. Iltalehti is also prominently active on several platforms of social media. In this research paper, it will be narrowed to Insta- gram.
By conducting a research based on their previous activities and benchmarking the com- petition both domestically and internationally the author provides evaluation of those ac- tivities with the outcome of improvement suggestions for the future.
As a result of this research, the author was able to deduce that consistency and using the tools and features of the platform to their full potential are essential for effective In- stagram marketing.
