Tiivistelmä
Potilaan akuuttihoitoon liittyvistä tehtävistä vaikeasti vammautuneen potilaan kohtaaminen on tutkimusten mukaan yksi vaikeimmista. Tämän vuoksi lisävammautuminen tulee pyrkiä estämään oikeita hoitotoimenpiteitä hyödyntäen. (Peräjoki & Azbel 2021d, 603.) Akuuttihoidon aikana vammapotilaan tutkimisen tulee olla systemaattista, selkeää ja nopeaa (Paajanen 2014). Opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli selvittää vatsan alueen ja rintakehän vammojen tutkiminen akuuttivaiheessa. Tavoitteena oli luoda tarkistuslista vatsan alueen ja rintakehän vamman saaneen potilaan tutkimiseen ja arvioimiseen. Tarkistuslistan tavoitteena oli toimia sairaanhoitajien muistin tukena, sekä vahvistaa hoitajien tietoja kyseisen potilasryhmän kohtaamiseen ja hoitamiseen. Tavoitteena oli myös varmistaa laadukas ja tasalaatuinen hoito jokaisen potilaan kohdalla yksilöllisesti.
Opinnäytetyö toteutettiin narratiivisena kirjallisuuskatsauksena (n=36). Näiden tietojen perusteella valmistui taskukokoinen vatsan alueen ja rintakehän vamman hoitoprotokollan tarkistuslista, joka sopii erityisesti ensihoitoon ja päivystykseen. Toimeksiantajana opinnäytetyössä toimi TYKS Akuutti.
Studies have shown that severely injured patient is one of the most difficult tasks to deal with in acute care. Therefore, an effort should be made to prevent further injuries through the use of appropriate treatment measures. (Peräjoki & Azbel 2021d, 603.) Examining during the acute care should be systematic, clear, and rapid (Paajanen 2014). The purpose of this thesis was to determine the most common complications related to abdominal and thoracic injuries and their acute treatment. The aim was to create a tool for examining and evaluating a patient with an injury of the abdominal area and the chest. The purpose of the checklist was to support nurses’ memory, as well as to strengthen nurses’ abilities in encountering and treating that group of patients. The aim was also to ensure high-quality and uniform treatment for each patient individually.
The thesis was carried out as a narrative literature review (n=36). Based on this information, a pocket-sized treatment protocol checklist for abdominal area and chest injury was completed that is especially suitable for emergency care and emergency room. The client for our thesis was TYKS Acute.
