As natural disasters are a big part of the world we live in now, this thesis evaluates travel behaviour before experiencing a natural disaster, and compares it to travel behaviour after experiencing a natural disaster. The aim of the study is to see how the respondents answer questions relating to travel pre and post natural disasters, how their patterns change and why. The data of the study is gathered qualitatively, through semi-structured interviews. The data is categorised in a way to further analyse to find themes and capture key aspects for the discussion and presented as results of the study. The results are then discussed with an offset in the theories and models of the theoretical framework, to draw the conclusions of the study. The author concludes that natural disasters do have an affect on travel behaviour in a way that the respondents still travel in the same manner as before, they are simply more aware of their destination's geography, and also how natural disasters in reality work and where they occur.
