Writer has been working several years in insurance fields case company. This thesis provides insights in project work, leadership of different development teams and development of multi-server environments.
Diary based thesis was based on qualitative research methods and it benefitted from the autoethnographic research perspective, which is consolidated method, where personal interests and experiences are being analysed and when they are summed up conclusion gives perspective for the purpose of evaluating exact type of material, which could not easily be processed with other methods.
Subjects for the observation weeks were chosen typical type of issues, that are faced in every day working in the ICT field. This sort of matters was knowledge of own weaknesses and evaluating and developing them to achieve better outcome in work, handling of strict schedules and searching methods to ensure better value to company's business side.
Development was monitored daily, and self-reflection was used to move things forward in an iterative and real time kind of ways. Information management sides of different companies are constantly facing changes in work methods and technologies. Diary type of approach could bring much value to organisations and specialists if it would be implemented comprehensively in the daily work of employees on organisation side levels.
