Tiivistelmä
Biokaasun potentiaalista puhutaan paljon, mutta toistaiseksi Suomessa hyödynnetään vain pieni osa tämän
energiamuodon mahdollisuudesta. Biokaasu on metaanin ja hiilidioksidin seos. Metaani on voimakas kasvihuonekaasu,
jota muodostuu spontaanisti luonnossa orgaanisen aineen hajotessa hapettomissa olosuhteissa.
Biokaasulaitos mahdollistaa tämän puhtaan energian hallitun tuottamisen ja hyödyntämisen eri sovelluksissa.
Suomen olemassa olevilla laitoksilla käytetään syötteenä pääosin jätteitä, mutta
hyödyntämätöntä biokaasulaitoksen syötteeksi soveltuvaa biomassaa löytyy eniten maatiloilta, syötteeksi
soveltuu esimerkiksi lanta ja nurmi. Laitosten rakentamista on jarruttanut investointien huono kannattavuus
Työ on toimeksiantajan
kanssa tehtävän kehittämistyön ja tutkimuksen yhdistelmä.
Työssä on esitetty reaktori-innovaation pilotointiin liittyvä prosessikytkentä ja kaksi tulppavirtausprosessille
soveltuvaa koeajosuunnitelmaa. Koeajosuunnitelmien yhteydessä on tuotu esille syötteistä saatava energiamäärä
ruuantuotannon kannattavuutta. Oikein suunniteltu biokaasulaitos tuo maatilalle vakauden energian hinnannoususta
huolimatta ja mahdollistaa parhaillaan energiaomavaraisuuden. Energian lisäksi taloudellista
hyötyä tulee syötteen ravinnearvon parantumisesta ja rejektistä separoitavasta kuivikkeesta. Työssä käydyn
tietoperustan perusteella BGCNordicin reaktori-innovaatio edustaa korkeaa teknistaloudellisuutta ja tämän
varmistamiseksi tuotekehityksen selkeä seuraava vaihe on pilotoida reaktori maatilan kokoluokassa. There is a lot of talk about the potential of biogas, but only a small part of the potential of this form of energy
is being exploited in Finland. Biogas means a mixture of methane and carbon dioxide. Methane is a
powerful greenhouse gas that is formed when organic matter decomposes under anaerobic conditions. The
biogas plant enables the controlled production and utilization of this clean energy as an energy source. The
existing plants in Finland utilized mainly waste as feed material. But suitable unused biomass feed material
to the biogas plant can be found most on farms, like as manure and grass. The construction of biogas plants
has been hampered by the poor return on investment, especially in small-scale plants. However, there is a
demand for technology on farms if the repayment period is brought to a profitable level.
The work evaluates the profitability of a biogas plant and the issues that affect it, such as technology, legislation
and support policy, and how these affect the profitability of a small biogas plant size. In addition, the
aim was to find a process connection to be implemented an example for a farm and make a test run plan
for the biogas reactor innovation. Work is a combination of development work and research with the client.
The work presents a pilot plan for a reactor innovation and two test run plans suitable for the plug flow
process. The test run plans provide an understanding of the amount of energy available from the feed material
and how increasing the relation of grass, as well as increasing the dry matter content, will affect the
production. Factors affecting profitability have been concretely highlighted from different perspectives and
how the size category of the biogasplant affects example taxation and legislation.
Environment like a farm, biogas production integrates very well in all respects. Farms often have high energy
consumption and rising energy prices are undermining the profitability of home-grown food production.
A properly designed biogas plant will bring stability to the farm despite rising energy prices and can
enable energy self-sufficiency. the economic benefits also come from the improvement in nutrient value
and the litter to be separated. Based on the literature, BGCNordic's reactor innovation represents a high
level of technical economy and to ensure this, The reactor must be piloted on an industrial scale.
