The objective of this study was to improve the risk management process in the project business. The study was carried out for Siemens Osakeyhtiö. The business challenge was the lack of risk analysis in the current processes.
The study is based on Juha Sutinen’s study conducted a few months ago for Siemens Osakeyhtiö, where he studied the current state of the project business quotation process and created a development proposal to tackle the weaknesses found. This thesis contains the summary of Mr. Sutinen’s findings, literature study and the proposed solution to tackle the objective of this thesis.
The outcome of this study is a risk and opportunity calculation tool as well as recommendations for next steps in order to obtain a standardized quotation process and have a better understanding of the risk management process.
