Tiivistelmä
Kehittämisprojektin tarkoituksena oli kuvata Tyks Medisiinisen toimialueen kiertävien varahenkilösairaanhoitajien perehdytyksen nykytilanne sekä kartoittaa perehdytyksen tarve olemassa olevaan kansalliseen ja kansainväliseen tietoon perustuen. Tyks Medisiinisen toimialueen kahdellatoista vastuualueella työskentelee yhteensä kolmetoista kiertävää varahenkilösairaanhoitajaa poliklinikoilla ja osastoilla ja heidän tehtävänään on vaihtaa työpistettä organisaation sisällä tarpeen mukaan, jopa päivittäin.
Viimevuosina on kiinnostuksen kohteeksi noussut henkilöstövoimavarojen johtaminen.
The purpose of this development project was to describe the current situation of orientation for float pool nurses in the Tyks Operational Division of Medicine as well as to investigate the orientation needs based on existing national and international information. Currently, a total of thirteen float pool nurses work in outpatient clinics and wards in the twelve areas of responsibility of the Tyks Operational Division of Medicine, and they are required to change unit as needed, even on a daily basis.
In recent years, the management of human resources has become an area of interest. Employees' skills and commitment to the organization are becoming more and more important, especially now that staff turnover is high in healthcare and social welfare services, and competition for skilled staff is increasing.
Well-planned orientation welcomes the new employee into the organization and engages him or her in the work community. Hence, a well-introduced colleague gets a good starting point for the job whereas a poorly introduced coworker may burden experienced colleagues for a longer time than those better acquainted with the work. Furthermore, successful orientation helps the new employee to stay in work, enhances job satisfaction as well as strengthens commitment to the organization. At its best, successful orientation serves the entire work community.
As stated earlier, the purpose of the development project was to improve the orientation for float pool nurses in the Tyks Operational Division of Medicine by drawing up an orientation model for the use of the research organization. The methods used in the project included a survey and workshops, and the project resulted in an orientation model for float pool nurses. This model will be introduced during 2022, and the guidelines will be updated based on practical experience.
