Insurance broker contributing to business and risk management, a client ́s perspective.

Abstract

The main aim of the study is to find out how clients consider the brokers contributing to the business, risk management and how they feel about the remuneration. The research questions were: How is the broker contributing to business? How is the broker contributing to risk management? Study is carried out in form of research on risk management and interviewing corporate clients who have an insurance broker handling the insurance cover and claims. The subject area is risk management, large multinationals, global insurance programs and insurance brokers. The demarcation of this study is that it is not very extensive. The results indicate that corporate clients feel strongly that there is a difference when using a broker, both what it comes to supporting business and risk management. When it comes to remuneration the interviewed clients think that it is fair when considering the benefits but in some cases difficult to compare it versus work done. In the future when digitalization is taking more and more space in all businesses, there are certain issues concerning particularly broker business. The social dimension will probably still be strong in this business.
