Tiivistelmä
Nykytiedon valossa näyttö venyttelyn hyödyistä lihas- ja nivelsidevammojen, sekä muiden pehmytkudosten vammojen ehkäisyssä osana alkulämmittelyä on ristiriitaista. Tutkimuksen tavoitteena oli saada tietoa venyttelyn merkityksestä osana alkulämmittelyä ja saada koottua nykypäivän tutkittuun tietoon perustuva näyttö aiheesta kirjallisuuskatsauksen avulla. Kirjallisuuskatsaus toteutettiin Turun Riennon Taitoluisteluseuran tilauksesta.
Tutkimuksena toteutettiin systemoitu kirjallisuuskatsaus internetin tietokantoihin, joista etsittiin aiheeseen parhaiten soveltuvia tutkimuksia.
By the current knowledge, evidence of the benefits of stretching in the prevention of muscle and ligament injuries and other soft tissue injuries as part of initial warm-up is contradictory. The aim of the study was to obtain information on the importance of stretching as part of the initial warm-up and to gather evidence based on today's researched knowledge on the subject through a literature review. This work was commissioned by Turun Riennon Taitoluistelu association. The aim was also to provide information to skaters and their coaches on the importance of stretching as part of the warm-up.
As a study, a systematic review of the literature was carried out on Internet databases, in which the most suitable studies were searched for. Results were analyzed by the perspective of figure skaters. According to the analysis, the most suitable studies from 2010 to 2021 were selected to gather the latest data. The quality of studies was analyzed to give information about reliability of the studies.
Five studies were selected for the final analysis. By the literature review none of the studies included figure skaters. Sports that required the most similar traits from the athlete were selected, in which the effects of stretching had been studied. Based on the results, stretching did not appear to be beneficial in the prevention of sports injuries compared to other interventional methods in the studies. However, one study found a beneficial effect of stretching in reducing soft tissue injuries in the lower extremities. There was very fragmented evidence on the subject, and many studies did not just examine only the effect of stretching on the incidence of sports injuries. In the future, there is a need to carry out systematic and high-quality studies on the effects of stretching on figure skaters before performing sports.
