Tiivistelmä
Tämän opinnäytetyön tavoitteena oli kehittää toimeksiantajan verkkosivujen sisältöä. Opinnäytetyön toimeksiantajana oli VisitVantaa. VisitVantaa toimii Vantaan kaupungin virallisena matkailusivustona. Verkkosivujen kehittäminen kohdennettiin Vantaalla sijaitsevaan Kuusijärven ulkoilualueen verkkosivuihin. Opinnäytetyön toiminnallisena osuutena toteutettiin toimeksiantajalle kehitysehdotuksia verkkosisällön toimivuuden ja käyttäjälähtöisyyden parantamiseksi.
Tietoperusta koostui luonnon virkistyskäytöstä ja luontomatkailusta. Aiheen pohjalta tutkittiin luonnon hyvinvoinnin edistämisen keinoja ja vastuullisuudesta viestimistä. Tietoperustassa käsiteltiin myös verkkoviestintää, asiakaslähtöisen verkkosisällön tuottamista sekä digitaalisen saavutettavuuden huomioimista verkkosivujen suunnittelussa. Verkkoviestinnän tueksi kerättiin tietoa digitalisaatiosta ja sen merkityksestä nykypäivänä.
Opinnäytetyö tehtiin laadullisella tutkimusotteella. Sen pohjalta toteutettiin teemahaastattelu. Haastattelusta saadun aineiston ja kerätyn tietoperustan avulla laadittiin kehittämisehdotukset Kuusijärven luontokohteen verkkosivuille.
Kehitysehdotuksien avulla voidaan kehittää Kuusijärven verkkosivujen asiakaslähtöisyyttä, digitaalista saavutettavuutta ja tuottaa johdonmukaista sisältöä sivuille. Kehitysehdotuksien lisäksi VisitVantaa pystyy hyödyntämään opinnäytetyön tietoperustaa digitaalisen saavutettavuuden ja asiakaslähtöisen verkkosisällön tuottamiseen. Kehittämisehdotukset ovat helposti toteutettavissa ja toimeksiantajan toiveen mukaisesti monistettavissa myös alueen muiden luontokohteiden verkkosivuille. The objective of this thesis was to develop the content of the commissioner’s website. This thesis was commissioned by VisitVantaa. VisitVantaa is the official tourism website of the city of Vantaa. The development of the website focused on the website of the Kuusijärvi outdoor area in Vantaa. As the functional part of the thesis, development proposals were introduced to the commissioner to improve the functionality and user-orientation of the web content.
The theoretical framework consists of themes of recreational use of nature and nature tourism. On the basis of the topic, the means of contributing natural well-being and responsibility communicating were studied. The theoretical framework also reviews online communication, the production of customer-oriented web content, and the consideration of digital accessibility in the design of websites. To support online communication, information was collected on digitalization and its importance today.
The thesis employs a qualitative research approach. A thematic interview was conducted. With the help of the material obtained from the interview and from the collected theoretical framework, development proposals were compiled for the website of the Kuusijärvi nature site.
With the development proposals, it is possible to develop customer-orientation, digital accessibility and to produce consistent content for the pages of Kuusijärvi’s websites. In addition to development proposals, VisitVantaa is able to utilize the theoretical framework of the thesis to improve digital accessibility and to produce customer-oriented web content. The development proposals are easily implemented and, in accordance with the commissioner’s wish, can also be implemented on the websites of other nature sites in the area.
