Utvecklingsmöjligheter för mentalvårds- och missbruksarbetet i Pargas : Med fokus på den manliga klienten

Abstract

Examensarbetet ingår i projektet Mannens hälsa och välfärd. Syftet med examensarbetet är att utreda nuläget i Pargas öppna mentalvårds- och missbrukstjänster och deras utvecklingsmöjligheter. Syftet är också att utreda vad god praktik och mångprofessionellt arbete är inom mentalvårds- och missbruksarbete. Dessutom vill vi utreda personalens uppfattning om mannen som klient och hur mansperspektivet beaktas.

I examensarbetet utförs kvalitativa intervjuer med personal inom social- och hälsovården som är delaktiga i Pargas mentalvårds- och missbruksarbete. Teorin som ligger till grund för intervjuerna baseras på lagar, rekommendationer och evidensbaserad litteratur.

Resultatet från intervjuerna i Pargas visar att för att mentalvårds- och missbruksarbetets öppenvårdstjänster skall vara socialt och ekonomiskt hållbara bör man utveckla primärvården, få mera kunskap om den manliga klienten och vidareutveckla samarbetet mellan hälsovården och den sociala sektorn samt få mera resurser för att ha möjlighet att beakta den goda praktiken i arbetet.

This thesis is a part of the project Men´s health and wellbeing. The aim of this thesis is to investigate the situation in Pargas out-patient medical service in mental health care and substance abuse work and their development possibilities. The aim is also to investigate what good practice and multiprofessional work is in mental health care and substance abuse work. We want to investigate the employees understanding of the man as a client and how the male perspective is considered in their work.

This thesis implements qualitative interviews with employees in social- and healthcare who are a part of Pargas mental health care and substance abuse work. The interview is based on theory, which is based on laws, recommendations and evidence based literature.

The result from the interviews in Pargas shows that to get the out-patient medical service in mental health care and substance abuse work to be more social- and economic sustainable the primary care should be developed. The employees should get more knowledge about the male client, more resources to have the possibility to take the good practice in consideration and the cooperation between the health care and the social work should develop.
