Tiivistelmä
Tämän opinnäytetyön aiheena oli vanhustyön arvot ja perehdytys. Opinnäytetyö toteutettiin yhteistyössä Nakkilan kunnan vanhuspalveluiden kanssa. Tämä opinnäytetyö toteutettiin projektina, jonka tarkoituksena oli järjestää learning cafe tilaisuuksia, joissa käsiteltiin Nakkilan kunnan vanhustyön arvoja ja niiden toteutumista hoitotyössä. Tavoitteena oli keskustelun pohjalta saadusta materiaalista tehdä yhteenveto, joka arvojen merkitystä avaamalla kehittää perehdytystä. Tekijöiden tavoitteena oli kehittyä projektin hallinnan eri vaiheissa ja oppia laatimaan konkreettinen tuotos saadusta materiaalista.
Learning cafe tilaisuuksiin kutsuttiin osallistujia hoitotyöntekijöistä, vanhusten omaisista sekä vanhusneuvoston jäsenistä. Learning cafe tilaisuuksia pidettiin Nakkilassa neljä kesän 2020 aikana. Learning cafeissa käsiteltiin neljää arvoa, jotka ovat laadukkuus, arvostus, yksilöllisyys ja turvallisuus. Learning cafen eli oppimiskahvilan periaatteen mukaisesti osallistujat pohtivat pienissä ryhmissä, mitä vanhustyön arvot tarkoittavat ja miten ne parhaiten toteutuvat hoitotyössä.
Projekti toteutettiin suunnitelman mukaan, ainoastaan aikataulua jouduttiin muuttamaan pandemian vuoksi. Projektin etenemistä ja toteutumista arvioitiin koko projektin ajan. Arviointia tehtiin itsearvioinnilla käymällä palautekeskusteluja tilaisuuksien jälkeen. Ulkoinen arviointi suoritettiin osallistujille jaettavalla kyselylomakkeella sekä tilaajan kanssa käydyillä keskusteluilla.
Arvokeskusteluista saadusta materiaalista laadittiin yhteenveto, jossa arvot ovat esitetty niin kuin vastaajat ovat ne kokeneet ja toivoisivat niiden näkyvän vanhustyössä. Yhteenvedon voi tulostaa vanhustyöhön perehdytettävälle, huoneen tauluksi tai sitä voi käyttää PowerPoint-esityksenä.
Projektin ja opinnäytetyöntekijöiden omat tavoitteet saavutettiin. Käytetty menetelmä osoittautui toimivaksi ja saatiin kerättyä runsaasti materiaalia laatimaamme yhteenvetoon. The topic of this thesis was the values and familiarization of elderly care. The thesis was carried out in cooperation with the Nakkila Municipality Elderly Services. This thesis was carried out as a project to organize learning cafe events addressing the values of elderly care in Nakkila Municipality and their realization in nursing. The objective was to summarize the material obtained on the basis of the discussion, which, by opening up the importance of values, developed familiarization. The goal of the authors of the thesis was to develop at various stages of project management and learn how to draw up a concrete output from the obtained material.
Participants of the four learning café events held in 2020 were elderly care workers, family member of the elderly, and the members of communal elderly commission. The Learning Cafés dealt with four values, which were quality, valuation, individuality and safety. Following the principles of Learning cafe, participants discussed in small groups what the values of elderly care mean and how best to fulfil them in nursing.
The project was carried out according to plan, only the schedule had to be changed due to the pandemic. Proceeding and realization of the project were evaluated throughout the project. Assessment was carried out by self-assessment through feedback discussions after the events. The external evaluation was conducted through a questionnaire distributed to participants, as well as through discussions with the subscriber.
A summary of the material obtained from the discussions was drawn up. In the summary, the values were set out as the respondents have experienced them and would like them to be seen in the elderly care. The summary can be printed, utilized as a room board, or used as a PowerPoint presentation.
The project and thesis workers' own goals were achieved. The method used proved to be feasible and helped to obtain a large amount of material collected for the summary.
