Tiivistelmä
Opinnäytetyö on kaksiosainen. Opinnäytetyön taiteellinen osio on opinnäytekonsertti, joka pidettiin 25.4.2018 Turussa Sibelius-museossa. Opinnäytetyön kirjallisessa osassa tutkittiin suomalaisten musiikin ammattiopintoja suorittavien opiskelijoiden hyvinvointia kyselytutkimuksen keinoin. Tavoitteena oli selvittää musiikinopiskelijoiden kokemusta nykyisestä hyvinvoinnistaan ja osoittaa musiikinalan opintojen vaativuus keholle ja mielelle sekä elintapojen merkitys yleiseen hyvivointiin.
Kyselytutkimus toteutettiin 15.2.–31.3.2020 ammatillisten musiikkioppilaitosten opiskelijoille. Yhteensä 143 musiikinopiskelijaa vastasi kyselyyn.
Vastausten analyysin perusteella voidaan todeta, että suurin osa musiikinopiskelijoista voi kokonaisvaltaisesti suhteellisen hyvin. Kuitenkin tutkimuksessa käy ilmi, että musiikinopiskelu asettaa keholle ja mielelle suuria haasteita. Tutkimuksessa paljastuu myös, että oppilaitoksien kurssitarjonnalla on selkeä yhteys opiskelijoiden hyvinvointiin.
Kyselytutkimuksen tuloksia on mahdollista hyödyntää tulevaisuudessa musiikkialan opetuksen suunnittelussa. Nämä tutkimustulokset voivat myös auttaa instrumenttipettajia ymmärtämään paremmin musiikinopiskelijoiden fyysisiä ongelmia sekä hahmottamaan heidän henkisen kantokykynsä rajoja. Musiikinopiskelijoille tämä tutkimus paljastaa kehon ja mielen huoltamisen tärkeyden opintojen aikana. This bachelor`s thesis consists of two parts. The artistic part of the thesis is a thesis concert which was carried out the 25th of April 2018 at Sibelius-museum in Turku.
In the written part of the thesis, the welfare of the Finnish students who studied in the vocational music schools was examined with the methods of the questionnaire survey. The objective of this thesis was to clarify the music students' experiences of the welfare at the moment and to point out the demanding level of the professional studies of the music field. Also the connection between the way of life and the general welfare to the body and mind was studied.
The questionnaire survey was carried out with the students of vocational music schools. The answers were obtained between 15th February and 31st March 2020. All together 143 people answered the survey.
On the basis of the analysis of the answers, one can state about the results that most of the music students have relatively good welfare. Although in this study the fact was revealed that studying music puts extensive demands on the body and mind. This study also pointed out that there is a clear relation between the course catalog of the music schools and the welfare of the music students.
The results of this study may be beneficial in future for planning the structure of vocational music teaching. The results may also guide instrument teachers better to understand the physical problems of the music students and their mental capacity. For the music students, this study proves the importance of the healthy lifestyle during the music vocational studies.
