Suomalainen tehohoito on todettu tutkimuksissa kustannustehokkaaksi. Suomessa tehohoitojaksoja annetaan noin 16 000- 17 000 yhden vuoden aikana.
Kiire on aina este kehitykselle.
The intensive care is constantly evolving and includes within the hospital the anesthetic work, intensive care, critical care, emergency care, and pain medicine. Finnish intensive care has been found to be cost effective in studies.
In Finland, intensive care periods are given in approximately 16,000-17,000 one year. The team can often be confused with the group. The group may get results, but it's not as effective as the team. Most work and leisure time is spent in groups, not in teams.
Teamwork is important in every workplace with more than one person working. The importance of teamwork is emphasized in intensive care because of the demanding nature of the job. In intensive care, critically ill patients are treated, whose vital functions need to be maintained by hard ways.
In the intensive care unit, patients need help with breathing, blood circulation, blood coagulation, liver and kidney maintenance. It is important for every person working in the intensive care units to be aware of the principles of good teamwork and to work towards better direction. When the team is made too big, it is impossible to lead. Too big team is difficult to lead and there is little communication between them. Smaller groups can be created and the contradictions can increase. Rush is always an obstacle to teamwork development. The rush is that there is no time at all for discussion and handling of common knowledge. The work method should be developed in different work environments.
Rush, staff shortages and staff turnover prevent teamwork from happening. A well-balanced team promotes patient safety through good teamwork and, according to studies, prevents death in the intensive care units.
