Tiivistelmä
Choosing the optimal organizational structure for a growing SME is not an easy task. Many influences within the internal and external environment can be pivotal when deciding which organizational structure is the most effective. The purpose of this thesis is to analyze organizational structures, workplace culture and leadership styles within SMEs. The internal and external environments are analyzed using primary internal and external data collected by the author. The findings that are presented using a company overview conclude that within a SME, trustworthy and knowledgeable leadership can have a large influence when determining workplace culture and organization structure. Throughout the analysis it was also shown through recommendations that there is significant room for improvement of overall communication levels and information sharing. Through utilization of advanced technologies, it would be possible to bring communication levels up, and increase overall employee involvement.
