Tiivistelmä
Currently, the swap and donation activities are unheeded in China with multiple reasons. Similar activities and operation methods exist but goals are not achieved well. Additionally, there is a notable gap between the wealthy people and the poor in the mainland of China, and negative impacts grow strong. Therefore, this research work sought possible resolutions for solving these problems.
The objective of this thesis is to understand the background of the above described issues and concepts and analysis of their resolutions. To define the concept and solve these issues, the constructive research method and combination of qualitative and quantitative research method were used in this research work. Literature review and a questionnaire were also included for supporting this research work process successfully. To achieve the objective of the thesis research, several features were studied and analyzed.
By studying literature, exploring online sources, and analyzing the questionnaire data we found out that people cannot find the information that they search for on the existing websites for swap and donation activities. Ignorance of these activities because of insufficient relevant information causes heavy negative impacts.
By further developing the prototype that we designed during our thesis project, people could find information easily and quickly. Graduate students, people who work out of their hometowns and especially the people of limited means in the mainland of China could benefit from the website.
