TIIVISTELMÄ


Toivonen, Minna. Lapseni haluaa mennä kerhoon ja mielestäni se on paras mittari- Mikkelin seurakuntayhtymän päiväkerhotyö vanhempien arvioimana. Diak Etelä, Järvenpää kevät 2013, 75 s, 2 liitettä. Tutkimuksen tavoitteena oli saada tietoa mikkeliläisten vanhempien odotuksista, toiveista ja tarpeista, jotka koskevat Mikkelin seurakuntayhtymän päiväkerhotyötä ja lastenohjaajia. Mikkelin seurakuntayhtymän lapsityö halusi päiväkerhotyönsä kehittämiseksi selvittää, mitä asioita vanhemmat pitävät tärkeänä lapsensa päiväkerhossa Mikkelin seurakuntayhtymässä


Tutkimus oli kvantitatiivinen eli määrällinen. Aineisto kerättiin Mikkelin seurakuntayhtymän päiväkerholaisten vanhemmilta syksyllä 2012.


Tutkimus osoitti, että lapsen halutaan oppivan ryhmässä sosiaalisia taitoja, toisten ihmisten kunnioittamista sekä sääntöjen ja ohjeiden noudattamista. Kristillinen kasvatus on vanhemmille tärkeää. Lapsen halutaan oppivan juhlapyhien merkityksen, hiljentymistä ja rukoilemista. Päiväkerhoa arvostetaan ja sen sisällöstä ollaan kiinnostuneita.  Lapsen asioista halutaan keskustella ja erityisesti siitä, kuinka lapsi pärjää ryhmässä toisten lasten kanssa.

The aim of the study was to get information about parents' expectations, wishes and needs concerning the children´s play groups and the work of the child instructors in the Mikkeli Parish Union.  To develope their children´s play groups the Mikkeli Parish Union child work wanted to find out what issues parents find important in these groups in the Mikkeli parish union.

The study was quantitative. The data collection method was a questionnaire and all the data was gathered from the parents who had a child in a children´s play group in the Mikkeli Parish Union in the autumn 2012.

The study showed that the parents want their child to learn social skills, respect for others as well as the rules and guidelines. Christian education is important to the parents.  They want their child to learn the importance of the Church festivals how to compose themselves and to pray. They appreciate the work done in the children´s play groups and are interested in their contents. They want to discuss the child's issues, in particular how the child is getting on in the group with the other children.
