The increasing demand for renewable energy has highlighted the critical role of effective internal communication in driving success within the wind power turbines sector. This thesis delves into the evolving requirements of internal communication as companies progress through various growth stages, focusing on the company X . The research aims to evaluate current internal communication channels within the Finnish subsidiary, identify areas for enhancement in information dissemination and employee engagement, and assess employees' perceptions of communication platform usability. By addressing challenges in accessing information and resources, the study seeks to boost employee productivity, satisfaction, and overall organizational success.
The primary objectives of this thesis are to comprehend and address the evolving needs in internal communication within the company X. The study assesses the utilization of communication channels, employee perceptions of platform usability, and the impact of expanding operations on information accessibility. Limitations include potential language barriers, low survey participation rates, intranet development constraints, and time constraints. The theoretical framework explores effective practices and strategies for internal communication, emphasizing information dissemination, employee engagement, and perceptions of communication platforms.
Action research methodology is employed to investigate the current reality, implement changes, and address identified issues. Combining quantitative and qualitative approaches, along with primary and secondary data collection methods, the study aims to enhance internal communication practices within the company. Results from employee feedback and survey analysis will inform targeted strategies to optimize communication channels, improve platform usability, and elevate employee satisfaction and productivity.
Through a comprehensive exploration of internal communication challenges and opportunities, this thesis offers practical insights and strategies for enhancing communication practices within the company.
