Tiivistelmä
Carbon neutral EU is objective for European Union. Because the climate change EU has started several
strategies to achieve carbon neutrality. Vehicles are causing major amount of the emissions and this can be
fixed with alternative options. Low emission fuels and in this case green hydrogen has the main role espe-
cially in heavy-duty transportation.
Tasks and objectives are to gather information about the EU strategy and regulations for further analyzing
and adapt this information to Finnish green hydrogen production and the drivers to develop the Finnish
transportation and logistics using hydrogen as a fuel.
There is already industry and end use in other EU member states but in Finland the industry is still growing.
Costs and accessibility still are a problem as the knowledge of the industry and possibilities. Funding and
promoting to grow markets or in other words the economical and social drivers are the development tools
for green hydrogen industry in Finland and its end use in heavy-duty vehicles
