Tiivistelmä
The purpose of this thesis was to find out how distribution channel system is developed and applied in Finnish hotels, in Imatra region; see if hotel services are accessible for the customers. The idea of the thesis is presented through comparing benefits and challenges of each distribution channel and analyzing which channel is the most profitable one for the hotels.
In this thesis report a qualitative research method was used. For theoretical part desk study method was used which included reviewing appropriate and related academic literature. For empirical part semi-structured, face-to-face interviews with hotels' managers were conducted as data collection method.
As a result of this thesis conclusions the benefits and challenges of applying distribution channel system in Imatra region were identified. These findings can be used in developing and improving marketing strategy of a hotel in Imatra region. The results of this research can also be used for the future research on this topic.
