The purpose of this thesis is to investigate how children and young people with ADHD are treated in school, how they're being taken care of and how well the communication works between school and home.
The survey was carried out through questionnaires that were sent out, via Vasanejdens ADHD Association, to Swedish-speaking families in which a child is diagnosed with ADHD. The questionnaires had nine, both closed and open questions.
According to the results, there are both negative and positive experiences. There are various ways in which they will be taken care of and treated at school. Parents have experienced both the ability to communicate and that the communication does not work at all. It was found that the key points are about communication, resources, understanding, and knowledge.
The end result was according to the closed questions that all respondents believe they have a good communication with the school.
